While I haven’t been at La Plata Dental that long, I love working as a dental hygienist. I even have 5+ years of experience in the role! That background, combined with my degree in Dental Hygiene, ensures I can fulfill my dental duties. A good thing, too, since I love helping people improve their smiles!
Originally from Stewartstown, PA, my husband and I now live in La Plata with our golden retriever Ollie. We especially love to travel and hike in local parks. On my own, though, you might find me working on DIY projects and making furniture.
I was born and raised in St. Mary's County, MD and presently live in Bushwood with my husband, Josh of 13 years. We have two children, a son and a daughter. I have always loved spending time with my family and friends. During high school I studied child care because I enjoyed working with children. After babysitting for family and working for the New Generation Day Care Center, I knew I wanted a career serving people.
Dr. Hochman was my family dentist and during an appointment my mom asked him to give me a job. Lucky for me, she talked him into it. As a senior in high school, I had taken morning classes at Chopticon High School and then trained to be a dental assistant with Dr. Hochman in the afternoon. Dental care was quite different from child care, but I soon developed a passion for it and have been loving it since the day my dental career started, nearly 20 years ago. I love interacting with my patients and making them smile.
Healthy, pretty teeth make a great smile and build confidence in each individual's life. I work hard to help each of our patients achieve this. We look forward to greeting you with a smile and hope when you visit our office, we give you something to SMILE about!
I first got started in my dental career a decade ago and have been a member of this great practice for three years so far. I am certified in oral radiography and CPR. Spending time with my awesome coworkers and boss is one of my favorite parts of the job!
I’m from Crofton and have two children named Jackson and Harper, as well as a dog. When I’m not busy at work, I like to shop and spend time with my family.
